Me? You want to know about me? How flattering!

First, and probably most important, I'm Canadian! I used to live in BC, but now I'm an Ontario girl. I've never lost my west coast attitude, even though I lived for seven years in one of the fastest-paced cities in Canada.

I'm short. I have a cute little step-stool for the kitchen so that I can reach the top shelves. I have an hourglass figure; it just happens to be a 24-hour glass. I have a little problem called Body Dysmorphic Disorder, so don't trust anything I say about my own appearance, okay? Hee.

I change my hair colour frequently. At the moment, it is auburn. In the spring of 2006, it was white-blonde. Winter 2005, it was black. The summer of 2005, black with chunky red highlights. In 2004, it was burnished copper. I like to change my hair colour. It's normally kind of mouse-brown with blonde highlights, and I think that's bone-crushingly boring.

I have grey eyes, but I wish they were green. I suppose I could get coloured contact lenses, but I'm not too keen on shoving something into my eye. Yuk. Still, the things we do for vanity, right?

I'm a cynic, romantic, and realist. I read a great deal.

I have an incredibly handsome, wealthy husband who treats me like a princess. I have three cats, nine computers, and a whole room set aside to hold all my books. There are enough DVDs downstairs to open my own rental shop.

When I'm working, I create websites. You can see that stuff at my business site.

When I'm not working, I surf the web, crawl Wikipedia, and play computer games. And read books. Did I mention that already?

My films of choice range from film noir, comedy and documentaries to zombie flicks, SF, and historical drama. I do NOT watch chick flicks. If I had to watch one film over and over again for three days, it would probably be The Maltese Falcon.

I listen to music whenever I'm not gaming or reading. I listen to Bach, John Williams, and Broadway, Monster Magnet, Nightwish, and AC/DC, Sting, the Pet Shop Boys, and Pink Floyd (among others). I have finally found an Abba song that I can stand (get it out of my head!), and thanks to a bloodthirsty friend from a galaxy far, far away, I can no longer say that I hate rap or country.

I've had so many names in my lifetime, I have lost count. If you know me by something other than 'Elisabeth', then you have experienced part of my collection of names.

I can do a few things well: write, sing, and cook. I love my work, although I would like to do something else. I'm just not sure what.

I would like to learn more languages -- Spanish and Italian are high on my list, although German and Russian are a close second.

When I have more time to devote to telling you about myself (how vain!), I'll write more. Or edit. Or even put up -- gasp! -- pictures.
